There are some amazing things to do in Baltimore. And it surprised me that so many Baltimore attractions are photogenic. This is a lovely city with enough to see and do, and you’ll need to recharge your phone or camera batteries at the end of the day.
There are so many attractive things to explore in Baltimore. From Sherwood Parks to Pierces Park to the White Moon Diner, there’s something for everyone.

1. Graffiti Alley
I adore street art because it is very photogenic. Artists who create graffiti in Baltimore have been allowed to work in one area of the town. They face a maximum of a three-year term in imprisonment or a $2,500 fine if they do not comply. Baltimore Graffiti Alley is north of Penn Station, behind The Motor House Theatre, which is also a Baltimore Point of Interest. Graffiti Alley is right behind the Motor House Theatre in Baltimore when you exit.
2. Hampden
Hampden has some lovely streets with charming brick row houses. My excursion to Hampden began with the amazing Artifact Coffee. It’s a little difficult to find (thank goodness for Uber!) but it was well worth the effort because the coffee was delicious! Also, don’t miss my post about the greatest coffee shops in Baltimore! I then took a 15-minute stroll from Artifact to “The Avenue” or West 36th Street, Hampden’s main artery.
This section is with adorable stores, cafes, and fascinating murals. Don’t miss some of the named establishments, such as Ma Petite Shoe. Café Hon is well-known on the street for its delicious food and large pink flamingo decoration. As you walk down West 36th, you’ll notice the Charmery on your right, an upscale ice cream shop.
3. The Painted Ladies Baltimore
The majority of the houses in the region are two and three stories high. The Painted Ladies is currently a prominent Baltimore, Maryland attraction. The entire event was a competition that ended in 2003. But the Painted Ladies Baltimore still exists, and the competition will take place again. When visiting Baltimore, this is an excellent location for photography. I took all of my photos on North Calvert between 26th and 30th streets. Please let me know if you discover a better location!
4. American Visionary Art Museum
This is a difficult museum to describe. Let’s start with the fact that it’s in an unusual building. Once inside the American Art Visionary Museum. There are many Instagram-worthy displays ranging from glass bunnies to the helpful duck in a tie to Mae West to my personal favorite. The incredible over-the-top floats of the Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race (May 5). This was one of my favorite attractions in Baltimore.
5. Sherwood Gardens
I was fortunate enough to travel in the spring when the Sherwood Gardens Baltimore was in full bloom. This is the Keukenhof in Baltimore. The Sherwood Gardens are an owned communal park that is open to the public for free. Sherwood Gardens is well known for its spring tulips. But it also produces wonderful plant stuff throughout the year. The Sherwood Gardens are beautiful homes that can be in your photographs. I went in late April, and I can’t imagine it getting any better for capturing the blossoms and the many, many beautiful tulips.
6. Pierces Park
I stumbled into Pierces Park while exploring the length of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. It is mostly visited by local families. When I went to Pierces Park, there was a beautiful silver horn sculpture. And what appeared to be more art projects in the works. The amazing outdoor enormous silver xylophones or musical fence at Pierces Park Baltimore, but, were my favourites. And guess what? Regardless of whether no concept of what it is, the sound is quite pleasant. One of Baltimore’s most attractive attractions.
7. Baltimore Aquarium
The National Aquarium, like the American Visionary Art Museum. It is both inside and out and is a significant Baltimore Inner Harbor destination. Begin outside the National Aquarium. The architecture is breathtaking. My favorite images were while walking around the bay behind the National Aquarium in Maryland. There is a visitor center with tons of information about things to do and trip ideas for your aquarium visit. Once inside, I discovered that the jellies were most of the Baltimore Aquarium’s animals.
8. Fell’s Point
Fell’s Point is a picturesque harbor community past the Inner Harbour. It has beautiful red brick residences as well as a combination of local colors and small stores. Try Sofia’s excellent Pierogi at Broadway Market – the pure cheese taste was my favorite. Take a left on Thames Street after walking down South Broadway. While I was there, there were a couple of odd street art projects, which are usually great for shooting. The majority of them were on Thames Street. Walking the streets of Fell’s Bay makes for one of the most enjoyable things you can do in Baltimore.
